Having a Vendor Managed Inventory program can help eliminate non-value-added activities like receiving, inspection, and material handling while reducing inventory.

Our goal in fitting a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) system to a customer is to best meet the unique needs of the customer’s manufacturing operation. First, we listen to what the customer’s objectives are, and what things could be improved upon. Then, we tailor a VMI system to meet the specific needs of the customer, also considering where their operations are located globally and the volume of different parts consumed at each plant.
